Water filter
on February 28, 2024

Great product. I had to clean the plastic seal several times, because it turned green because of the bad water we have. We have PFAS in our town water ( well water) It is also hard to change the bottom filter

Enjoying my Lifestraw!

I love the clean look and ease of refilling the Lifestraw 7-cup pitcher. It fits well in my smallish fridge and the water tastes fresh. Coffee tastes better, not bitter. I am so glad I upscaled from the Britta I had for several years.

Fundamental Design Flaw

The way the lid is designed doesn't make any sense. Having to pour water over the lid to get into the filter causes whatever water source your pouring from to just sit on the lid. If there's enough pooled there, it will just pour into your water anyways.

My family has several LifeStraw items. I haven’t used my 7 cup pitcher yet, but I’m sure I won’t be disappointed.

Particles floating on top of boiled water
on March 4, 2024

Seems fine, beautiful design, very simple to use - but we are now getting small particles floating on the water in our hot pot after boiling. It almost looks like snowflakes. We are also getting more calcium build up on the bottom of the hot pot

travel pitcher

I bought this small(ish), lightweight plastic pitcher for road trips. We are used to the taste of filtered water at home, so this pitcher allows us to keep filling our water bottles wherever we are by just filtering the hotel tap water. The pitcher is about the size of a roll of paper towels, and more convenient than hunting for bottle-filling stations or buying single-use plastic bottles of water.

Lovely pitcher

Aesthetically this pitcher is lovely. I use it everyday and feel confident that it performs as claimed. I use it to refill water bottles, my teapot and Ted’s (the cat) water bowl.

Plastic Alternative
on March 5, 2024

We've been trying to cut down on plastic and after our 10 year old plastic water filter pitcher broke we decided to opt for this glass filter pitcher.
This pitcher is definitely more aesthetically pleasing than our previous one.
Minor inconveniences of this for the first couple weeks: very slow to filter through the reservoir into the actual pitcher and the actual filter reservoir volume is quite small. We were used to the Brita ptichers with larger volume that filtered fairly quickly. We adapted to this by making sure we refill it after each use regardless of how much we used.
After about a month or so these small inconveniences no longer bother us and we're happy with this alternative to a plastic pitcher. Also appreciate the fact that the filter (claims) to filter out some of these forever plastics since the filter is itself made of plastic.
