We love this pitcher

We are a ranching family, and deal with unreliable water quality due to water line b. We bought this pitcher so that no matter where our water is coming from, we know it's safe for our family.
Let me tell you what--even if we did have great water, I think I'd still use this pitcher because it makes water taste SO GOOD. I did an experiment where I filled up my Yeti at my doctor's office (good city water but has kind of a funny taste) and brought it home, and put it through the pitcher, and the goofy taste was gone.
Our water is also very hard, and this does away with that dilemma. Pitcher seems sturdy to me, and I'm so glad my husband found this for us!
I would recommend this to a friend!

The pitcher is really pretty and it is great to have glass rather than plastic. Plus, it filters out a lot more than many other filtering pitchers (including lead). Overall, I am really happy with it but there are two cautions. First, you have to 3-4 pitcherfuls of water through the filter when you get started or the water tastes awful. But once you have done that, the water is good. Second, it takes a little (but not much) longer to refill than most filtering pitchers. But no regrets on the buy, would buy again, and have even sent one as a gift since using mine.

Home PITCHER durability & taste

At first I was fearful of the glass breaking. I am not a gentle person. However this pitcher survived on a trailer, towed by my bicycle for just over 1,600 miles in one journey. From Amherst Ohio to Lincoln Nebraska & back. WITHOUT BREAKING! I did unfortunately find out that it did leave a taste in the water IF I let the water stay in complete contact with the plastic, covered up in a cooler bag in the sun for more than two hours. Granted though the AIR temperature did excede 90-95 degrees easily. I do not know what the temperature was in the direct sunlight, IN the bag. Would I buy this again, for myself or others, YES. Quite shocked that it survived MY use.

VERY SLOW

Bought LifeStraw pitchers for my daughters and the first is VERY SLOW right out of the box! Not useful as is.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Our dual-stage filtration system does create a slower filter rate and initially, this will be a slower process. However, as use increases, and the filters become more and more saturated, the flow rate will improve and quicken!

Does not remove fluoride

This does not remove fluoride- a neurotoxin- that never should have been added to our water or toothpaste in the first place.
This product is worthless if it does not remove the most toxic chemical of all.
