I liked this water pitcher and filter, until I found out it had a California Prop 65 warning!

Proposition 65 requires businesses to provide warnings to Californians about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. I was replacing the filter when I noticed in small print on the inside packaging that this has a prop 65 warning! So you claim to filter out bacteria, metals, lead, etc but the filters have chemicals that cause cancer and birth defects? What is the point of your filter system them? And great, you provide water filters to people in need to then expose the recipients to harmful chemicals used in your plastics. Do better Lifestraw.

Really love this carafe!

It's a beautifully designed pitcher that I enjoy as much for its aesthetics as its functionality. The pitcher holds more water than it looks like it should and the water tastes really great without any odd flavors.

Exactly as expected

Is it heavy? Yes. It is glass filled with water, not much way around that. But it looks classy as all get out, and takes my water from “fine” to “delicious!” Have already recommended to several people.

Bad design

I'm sure the filter works well but it's not designed well at all. The chamber you put the tap water into holds about one cup which is annoying to be constantly filling it up every time you pour a glass.

Great pitcher for filtered drinking water
on May 25, 2022

I waited a bit before reviewing this to make sure my initial impressions stood up over time. I really love this system. It takes some thought, because a filtered water pitcher does fill up more slowly. But it's not unmanageable. The rubber cover on the bottom is a great (and I'd say necessary) addition. You know you're setting it down on a padded surface every time. Any time you pour water out, you should add it as well, so the pitcher is full/filtering for the next time you want a drink.
Our area has a higher than acceptable amount of PFAS in the water system. They're working on mitigation, but this gives me always good drinking water. Get the year of filters package, I wasn't sure about it at first, but as much as I like this pitcher, I'm glad I got that.

Love this! Best purchase especially knowing my water is sitting in glass and not plastic.

Taste is great. Glad I got the 7 cup. The larger one would be too heavy. It is a little slow to fill. Looks good.
