I carried this filter in my backpack for a couple of years for emergency use. Recently on a long day hike, I ran out of water and became dehydrated . The lifestraw worked initially , but then on 2nd use was COMPLETELY clogged. I ended up drinking water straight from mountain seeps, risking contamination.

Can dry out

Can dry out after use if not kept in a bag with moisture. That's not good for me so I will keep in original packaging until need for emergency purposes.

Great product for hiking and hunting

Small and yet efficient for the outdoors. Very good for a survival kit along with on a hunting trip and hiking as well. Definitely will buy again!
