some concerns
on April 29, 2013

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Has horrible, unnecessary vibration caused by plastic water pipe. Also has soap build up on the rubber rim inside, which I have to clean up after each use. Shelving leaves a lot to be desired for spacing, etc.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

replaced 30-year old dishwasher
on May 6, 2013

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] what a difference thirty years makes, especially in sound and water usage. Most of mid-range dishwashers will not fit flush in the standard 24x24x34" opening. This one is perfect. Lowered top rack for convenience of loading/unloading smaller items. Adapter for connection to water supply was not included and has changed from what my plumber called "industry standard for years". Don't know if intended to be included or was missed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I only use my dishwasher when I have lots of company. It's just my husband and I and no demand for everyday usage. I do love to use it and my favorite feature is the steam feature. Overall good product.

Spectacular Quiet Cleaning

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the quietest dishwasher I have ever owned; you can actually have a conversation in the kitchen while the dishwasher is running without being drowned out with noise. In fact, I actually placed my ear next to the machine to make sure it was running. Cleaning is excellent; ease of loading is great. I have used all the cleaning cycles (had to try them all out) and have no complaints what-so-ever. Love the Stainless Steel interior. Thanks GE for the great product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Looked small but was able to accommodate dishes for two couples. The blue flaps do not close easily due to interfearing notches at the hinged ends. Cannot select the heat drying option if not programmed at the start of the wash cycle.

If you want dry dishes when done don't buy this machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had this dishwasher two months and find it cleans very well but doesn't dry worth a darn. The placement of the plastic utensil holders, in the front, leads to them remaining wet even after a heated dry. The main body of the interior is only partly dry with many dishes remaining damp. Opening the door all the way usually means a teaspoon amount of water dumping out of the door mounted vent and onto the floor, most annoying. My 7 year old W'house dishwasher may not have cleaned as well but I never had to leave the door open a few inches for 24+ hours trying to dry everything like this GE.
On top of everything else my wife hates the loading options. Especially for cups with concave bottoms that tend to hold water. There is no easy way to set them up at a slight angle to allow that water to drain off. I purchased this dishwasher for a great price but I'll be on the hunt again trying to find a new non-GE and someone to buy my nearly new GE.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cleans good but do not like drying process
on June 20, 2013

I agree with the other individuals who also have the problem with the drying process. Once the dishwasher finishes it is extremely wet inside. I have looked thru the "trouble shooting" part of the manual to see what to do and have tried what they have suggested but nothing has helped the drying process. It is extremely wet when you open it and it takes all day for it to dry out. It is very disappointing. I also do not like the loading of cups and glasses in the top portion. There is no way to load them without causing water to remain on top of the glasses and cups, even if they have only a slight concave to them. I never had a problem with my other dishwashers staying wet or retaining water on top of the glasses unless they had a big concave area. I do like how quiet it runs and it seems to clean very well. I also like how it looks but because of the problem with being so wet inside I do not recommend this dishwasher. If the drying feature were fixed and the top rack was shaped so that water didn't pool on top of all the glasses and cups, I would highly recommend the dishwasher. I do not want to but I am going to return this dishwasher to search for another.
