Quiet and effective!

I've only had the dishwasher for about a week and have done a couple of cycles with it and am very happy. It replaced a GE dishwasher that was at least six years old. It's amazing how much technology and manufacturing has improved. The dishes come out clean, the dishwasher itself is so quiet I forget it's on, and for what I paid I think it's a great choice.

Needs some design improvements!

This dishwasher was installed in my new home when I moved in, (I didn't purchase it). The silverware bins need to be redesigned. Sharp knives stick though the bottom, small baby spoons get stuck in the bottom sideways, overall do not like the bins at all. The drying cycle takes forever! It does clan the dishes well and is relatively quiet when running.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is a new DW to replace a 30 YO GE unit. So far so good. Runs extremely quiet and does a great job on cleaning dishes, pans, flatware etc. I am a firm believer in wiping down anything going in before the unit is used. I dare say there is no unit out there that can completely clean properly if the load is coated in dried on left over food crud.

I've had the dishwasher for about 2.5 months. For the first month and a half it worked great. Dishes were clean, dry, looking great. Then it broke. It needed a new control panel and a new heating element. I am hopeful that this will be the end of my problems, but it worries me that this $500+ appliance broke after only a month and a half of very light use. I live alone, haven't entertained very much since getting the DW, and ran it only 2-3 a week, if that. I tell you this so you have a basis for making your own judgement.

I thought I would get better results for the money. I have to load the dishes just right to get them clean. If I do that its ok. Less place setting. would probably be better. Door doesn't close well.
