I bought dishwasher about 10 momths ago. So far we have had a new heating element, door gasket had to be glued back in and the door handle had to be replaced. The soap dispencer is in a spot where if a piece of flatware is just a little off kilter, it catches and the door does not open. Thus, having to rerun the load. I have had many GE appliances before and all have been pretty good but am really dissapointed. GE did extend my warranty for a year. I would have preffered a different product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Roomy and Quiet

My dishwasher has a large capacity and holds lots of dishes. The top rack being adjustable is good to accommodate taller cups. I like how the silverware basket is divided into two sections, one on top and one on bottom. The start button has been accidently pressed by people leaning on the button; but, the buttons can be locked to prevent this. Initially, I was using gel detergent and the door always had residue after washing. I have switch to the action tabs and the door is now clean after washing. The manual actually recommends that you use the action tabs. It is super quiet when running. The wash cycle is lengthy but I start it as bedtime so it is not an issue for me.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Replaced a GE dishwasher that was at least 10 years old. Thought GE was a good product. This particular one is junk. Drying feature is a joke. Major disappointment

Only G.E. appliance I am unhappy with

My home has all G.E. appliances which I have been extremely happy with and that is why I looked at G.E. when buying a dishwasher. I have not been happy with this appliance since I purchased it. The feature that sold me was the double silverware baskets. I still cannot wash more silverware than in my other dishwashers. This is the fourth dishwasher I have owned and is the smallest for interior size. The inside racks do not adjust for larger dishes and is not compatible for pots, pans, casserole, or baking dishes. I have a extra large G.E. refrigerator that I must replace in the next couple months and can only find the style I want on line. I am now leery about buying the refrigerator without being able to completely check it over.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

More than I expected. It replaced a GE that came with the house, so was more than 15 years old. This one is quieter and looks to have more room inside. Washes and dries perfectly well and seems to require less detergent. I am very happy with it.
