Amazingly quiet, you can run it even if you are having a quiet conversation in the kitchen. Gets the dishes clean. Satisfied, good value.

I have purchased GE Appliance for Many years and many houses. the lastest expericence has been less than satifactory. For a machine that is not to make noise that much it is noisy though out the house at times.
At first the removable silverware trays could not be removed without bouncing the forks and knives out of the trays. The shelves were adjusted to make removal possible.
In addition, a vent that leaks water on a hardwood floor is poor design. How can this be happening. We have the Geek Squad looking into it and repalcing some type of fan.
The spraying jet in the unit bounces off the dish rack we think to make noise on a full load. If this sounds critical we are hearing it along with our guests as our new Dishwasher From GE cleans the Dinner Plates. (not good advertising).

We are really pleased with the GE dishwasher. Our previous washer was so noisy you could not talk on the phone in the same room ! A minor problem to us is the drying cycle is not a great as it could be The items are still wet and they have to air dry with the door open..

I bought this almost a year ago. I thought I would like the front end silverware baskets. Guess they are alright, but the top cover on the basket on the bottom shelf has not stood up to use. I can use it, it just has not held its shape. The racks are smaller than I am used to, and I believe are hard to get many dishes in there. The bottom rack seems to be designed for mainly plates, and will hold 16. That is good, but I don't have 16 plates a load. I like for my bowls to be propped up on the tines, and can't do that very well. Just not very happy with it. I selected it without not really looking over my other selections. That's my fault. Also, I have to keep an eye on it when washing, because all of the granules in the pods do not always dissolve, and I have to run it over again, thus using more water. There is no way, that I know off, to start it over with another rinse to get them off. My water is hot enough, because sometimes it takes care of itself.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
