Great hood, tough to install

Everything came shipped very quick, very helpful customer service and I thought was a great price as well. The blower we mounted under the house 400 CFM and its working great for our application. The problem I had was the chimney is sleeved and adjustable which is fine. The ceiling molding fit perfect. Where the problem is that there is no way way to install the sleeved chimney after the hood is installed. I had to build a jig that matched the holes where it mounted to the wall and hood, then transfer that jig to the floor and fit the chimney to sleeve. Used some painters tape to hold it all together and put the entire piece up on it and screw it in to the mounts. The screws were too short, bought some longer ones . Its tricky, but doable. Maybe a single piece and cut it to to size would be easier? My duct is in the wall and goes down to our crawl space and out.

I received 4 hood vents all 4 we’re damage in transit it was a beautiful product but I didn’t have the time of using the hood vent, so I give up and cancel the order if they would have a local vendor in Boston MA that I can physically pick it up and inspect for damage , I Would buy one.

I ordered the Zline for my kitchen remodel. Even though it was difficult to install, I really like the look in my kitchen. The fan operation is quiet and the lights are nice and bright. Having a more illustrative manual would be helpful.

Installation was relatively easy but would recommend that ZLine provide a piece of 1x1 angle iron which would be installed on the wall to create a ledge for the hood to sit on at the base of the hood. The 2 plastic anchors are a bit cheesy and in time may become a problem. We did this and it made the installation so much easier,
