I purchased this ice make just over a month ago for my 70 year old disabled husband. It only made a handful of ice then shut off due to faulty ice bin full sensor. Customer support said they knew this model had a problem! They were great shipped out a replacement in 3 days. It arrived Friday. Saturday afternoon we started it. The machine made great ice, worked perfectly until Monday afternoon. Then! It stopped making ice and started squealing, the lights in the front flashed repeatedly and it would not shut off. We unplugged unit. Drained water gave it time to reset itself. Then plugged it again. Within 30 minutes it was doing same thing. Tried to contact customer support. They did not answer their phone. And never returned our call. This ice machine is poor designed and the company is completely aware of the issues. Yet they keep selling a defective product!

New air ice machine

We have enjoyed our nugget ice machine between family and friends. It makes enough ice for us daily. If we plan to have a family get together, we start the day before and bag the ice in freezer bags
I would recommend this to a friend!

We got this a month ago and have loved the ice it makes! it's easy to stay hydrated when you enjoy munching on the chewy teeth friendly ice! it also cuts way down on mindless snacking that comes from being dehydrated- rather than actually " Hungry" Yes the machine does make a pretty loud grey noise kind of sound while running. But it is a motor- that is scraping ice crystals then extruding them into nuggets. It's WAY quieter than trying to break yourself or grind in a blender to get softer ice. Some tips: Run while doing other things like watching tv or cleaning so the noise isn't as overbearing. to cut down on how much you need to run the machine, place a large tupperware container in your freezer and as the ice comes out- transfer to that. ( Just stir as you add so it doesn't clump) Plus is convenient to have the ice ready without having to run a cycle. Our machine will make 3 16oz glasses per basket. It began to stop after one glass a few days ago. Nuair is standing by their produce and replacing the unit. Customer care was friendly and efficient. If you love that yummy crunchy ice- and will be putting your nugget ice maker through a work out every day- A warranty might be a good idea for you. Just to make sure you never have to go back to the hard block style ice most freezers produce. Had we not had the problem with the full sensor- I'd be giving this 5 stars. if they can figure out a way to make it quieter then they'll need to change their star rating- because it will deserve 10! :)

This unit does exactly as advertised. Quick and plentiful production of the best ice ever! So much ice is produced that I can now store a good supply in the freezer for later use. I highly recommend this unit, along with the customer support that Newair delivers. Over the top! My refrigerator ice maker is now obsolete!

This makes REALLY good nugget ice and wont make you have to leave your house to go find it. It is actually pretty quick in producing ice. Our whole family and especially the kids love it! Only drawback was a malfunction in month 4, but NewAir was great and replaced it! More ice for us! You gotta get one!

We love this ice maker. My wife's favorite thing is nugget ice and this was the perfect Mother's Day gift. If there are any issues at all though, Newair Customer supports will take good care of you!
