I would advise anyone NOT to purchase this product

We purchased one 6 months ago and are having our 3rd one delivered because of a faulty control board, they have tried to order a new replacement part and always on back order. Will never purchase a GE appliance again! Having to wait six months to having a working oven is ridiculous, and why don’t they have replacement parts!! We will see if the 3rd one works, if not the company is getting a call for a full refund!

Poorly designed, On 2nd Repair in 6 Months

Stay away from this gas range from GE. We have had it for 6 months and it is on its second repair for two completely different problems.
Also, GE has designed the griddle with one burner in the middle- the result is that it does not heat the griddle evenly. I can't understand what they were thinking. That alone is a very good reason not to purchase this oven...another issue is that the surface is extremely easy to scratch and the burners themselves have stained in a way that cannot be clean.
Since you are not allowed to mention service issues on this review forum, I will just say that the oven was broken when it arrived with a fan issue, and now it needs a new control panel because it turns itself off while preheating and doesn't maintain the correct temperatures.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Broken already

My new gas range was installed a week ago and I loved it. Then, I preheated it to bake a dish for dinner. After it preheated, I put the dish in the oven and went into the den to sit down. When I came back in a few minutes, the oven had turned off and the clock was blinking. I thought we had a power interruption, and turned the oven back on and reset the clock. I turned around, and it blinked out again, only this time the entire digital display scrambled. This happened about ten more times. I have called the repair service and am so upset that my new range is not working properly already

Problems after only 4 months of use

After owning this range for only 4 months, the oven light bulb burned out (after minimal use). We had previously owned a GE range for over 15 years, and never had a problem with the bulb burning out. We can only hope that things do not get worse. We should have listened to the other customers who had problems with GE. Apparently, their quality control is lacking when it's made outside the U.S.

Good to look at, not to cook on

Because gas range has sealed cooktop, if spillover occurs while cooking and spill goes under cooktop, you must schedule service/repair to have them open cooktop to clean it up. Because spillovers do happen, why didn't GE provide a better cooktop to allow owner to clean. The reviews I read did not mention this as problem and I did not realize that this would be a problem before I purchased this.

Perpetual Electronics Issues

The cooktop works fine but the oven has had ongoing issues with the electronics and is prone to shut off with out any interaction from us at all. Have had techs come 2 - 3 times to fix but the problem persists. I would not recommend GE products after this experience.
