This range is “hot”

Almost too hot. The burners are very hot which is good for boiling pasta water but for everything else it is hard to find the right level. The oven is also hot. I am a baker and all my normal times and settings have to be adjusted. The range is impressive to look at and I love the dials on the front. The oven racks do not slide in and out easily and this can disrupt the baking process. The chime timer is so soft I cannot hear it if I leave the room. It has many features, some I will not use…like Wi-Fi. Also, it seems for an item of this quality, a published manual would be available instead of having to print one off. Overall, this is a very good stove but there is a learning curve in order to use it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good power and looks

This review is reflecting my first month of use only. For our family needs this has range has plenty of power on the burners, in fact has more power than expected. he power burner is overwhelming for some pots and pans. Features like Wifi control are not very useful for us, You can turn on and off the oven and oven light remotely but its scary to distance control a gas appliance without physical supervision in my view. The stainless steel surface is resisten to stains making it easy to clean up. The worse feature by far is the timer sound, it is ridiculously low at maximum volume. The timer sound should be annoying so the alarm avoids burning the food.

Forces you to use WiFi

Oven is nice enough, but you can't use the air fryer mode or the convection roast mode without connecting it to WiFi. That's not going to work for a lot of people, myself included.
Wish I could return it and get one that does not need any outside connection to be able to use the built in functions.

We know it can be a little confusing about certain modes having to be downloaded over the internet. This is due to these cooking modes coming out after these models have been manufactured. So, with some of our older models that have the capability, we have to update them over Wi-Fi. We're still going to send this feedback to the proper channels, this way we can always make sure we are making the best choices.

The dials do not light up when burner is turned on which could be very dangerous.
The timer is ridiculous. Even when continuous and loud is programmed, you can barely hear the timer. These seem to be basic items in a range, don't understand why GE didn't engineer these basic items.

This range has great burners, including the center oval which sears anything nicely on the included cast iron inset. The oven cooks really well and has features like the ability to cook frozen foods, like pizza with no preheating. From gourmet cooks to simple reheaters, you will love this range! We have a much older version still working great in our other house. :)

Beautiful and Efficient

I am in love with my new GE Gas range. It is not only beautiful, but it meets all of my criteria for a great home appliance. I chose the black stainless to match my other kitchen appliances, and it’s so elegant! I have used most features in these 2 weeks since purchasing, and am very satisfied. The front burners put out a lot of heat and that is just what I wanted. Pasta water boils in a flash! The oven is spacious. The probe thermometer is a feature I am looking forward to using soon. I baked a cake and it was done in the box instructions shortest time. I have roasted chicken and the results were perfect. I slow roasted ribs and then broiled for the final 5 minutes. They were better than if I had grilled outdoors. I have owned many appliances in my life, and always come back to GE. I am no longer willing to take chances on other manufacturers products.

I’m really happy with my purchase of my new GE gas convection range. The 2 high gas powered burners can boil water very quickly. My favorite feature is the integrated grill/griddle. The food cooks very evenly on the cooktop and in the oven. I find the Wi-Fi connectivity very useful as I am noticed when the oven preheat is complete or when the cooking session is complete. The stainless steel is beautiful and easy to clean. 4)3 grates and griddle clean well and have not rusted, the knobs for the burners are superb and stay pretty clean while cooking due to their from facing position, no more greasy knobs. I have not regretted my purchase at all. This GE replaced a 4 yr old LG has range that I had nothing but issues with, after the many repairs and parts replacements, I gave up on my LG and decided to go with GE. I am one that cooks 3 meals a day at home and I needed a range that can withstand heavy use.
