I like everything except for the air fryer. I haven’t gotten one thing to come out right using the air fryer. How do I tell if it’s actually working?

Wonderful features

I love to cook & bake. It is so great to have an oven that cooks/bakes evenly. The 3 shelves are so versatile. The air fry feature is great. The convection bake & bake features are great. I love the additional burners in the middle. It's nice to have 5 instead of 4 plus it gives me more range top room. The display is a great idea--long overdue. It's so nice to have everything in front of you as opposed to the back of the oven. The range top goes all the way to the wall. Many great improvements over our 18 year old range/stove!

This is the first range I have ever purchased in all my years of owning various homes and GE products have been installed in several homes with great satisfaction. The only feature that I don’t like is the air fryer.

Nice range

Have had this stove for about 3 weeks; I am new to the air fryer system and haven't used it too much. I find that I can get a similar product via convection roast. I would like to see a dehydration function which could be added if the convection bake would allow a decrease to a temperature of 130 degrees Fahrenheit. That is one function I had on my old 17 year old range that this one replaced. I do like the ease of cleaning the burner areas; it cleans like a dream with soap and water.
The convection functions work very nicely; I am still getting used to the nuances of this oven especially with the baked goods function. My oven probe does not work and I will need to have someone come and look at that. The Smart HQ app is fun to use but could use some tweaking to really be useful. I was a little surprised that I was not able to use the air fry function until I connected to the wifi; I am unsure if the connection is vital to the function of the range or if that was one way to ensure that the range did get connected. I think this is a very good product and has a lot of features but I really need to use it longer before I can get really excited. Maybe after Holiday baking.......

Poor cooking racks

Cooking racks do not slide out easily and are extremely difficult to pull out when cooking a roast or other dishes in the oven. It seems that GE recommends using vegetable oil to ease the movement. Other stove manufacturers don’t seem to have this issue. Poor design.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello there - We apologize that you're having trouble sliding the oven racks out, especially when cooking a roast. This would be frustrating and we understand your disappointment.
It's possible that the racks will become difficult to slide, especially after a self-clean cycle. This is normal. To improve sliding conditions, we do recommend using a soft cloth or paper towel to rub vegetable oil on the left and right edges of the racks and/or rack supports.

Even heat from hobs & in oven, quality accurate knobs and controls, responsive control panel without being too tech-y, grill more useful than anticipated, easy to clean
