Love the features/cooking-hate the scratches!

Purchased & installed our stove in May 2021. Love to cook, air fry & bake - it does it all! However, we noticed right away that there were scratches on the stainless piece right in front of the burners. I called customer service & the rep told me to buy Cerama Bryte and that should help, but it didn't. He did not offer to send someone to check it out to see if it could be fixed. For the amount of money we paid for the stove, I wish it were a bit more scratch resistant-especially right along the top where you are constantly putting pots & pans on the burners. Other than that - I really enjoy it and would recommend it to my family/friends!

Still getting acquainted...

I have had the oven 3 months and while it is not the Cafe I had for 10 years, it is close. I did not go with the new Cafe because I do not like the burner configuration. I like the oval burner for the center griddle. I do like the that the griddle on the Profile is wider than my current griddle. Also, the 30 inch wide range maximizes the stove top so that it has a wider cooking surface than most 30 inch stoves, giving a 36 inch feel.

Nice but flawed

The range looks very muscular and masculine - reminds me of a commercial range. That's not a look everyone (my wife included) likes. We bought it anyway because we like the feature set and the performance. And the performance is very good - lots of BTUs and precise controls for each one. I love cooking on it.
There are two flaws in the design - the first is that if you have the griddle on the middle slot, it is impossible to lift either of the side grates to clean the cooktop unless you remove the griddle. The griddle and the side grates are so heavy and clumsy that it is a real struggle for my wife to do a quick wipe. There are no cushions under the grates (cushions are on the range body) so she worries that the grates will mar our brand new counter top. We finally gave up and used the center grate instead, even though the griddle makes more sense for us as the default grate.
The second flaw is unforgivable. The timer/alert chime is inaudible with the range hood fan running or any other ambient noise source unless you are within a couple of feet of the range. Yes, I know how to adjust the volume and it is set to HI. You need to know when the timer has sounded when you're at the sink with the water running, or setting the dining table, or any other common activity that takes you away from the range - and we can't hear it under those conditions. We could hear the timer on our old range (Kenmore) from two rooms away. Hey GE engineers and execs, did you even try this feature under real world conditions?

Exceptional Oven

This oven is a great addition to any home. We love the backless slide in feature. There are several burner options as you can see from the second picture. The front left burner is 2 burners in one. Going from a large overall burner to a simmer burner which is just fantastic. Clean up is easy and simple, and almost streak free. If you use the right cleaners and cloths you WILL get a streak free shine. This model has a convection oven and a air fryer. Both work splendidly. The air fry makes quick and good chips, and crunchy wings. The only dislike on this oven is the griddle feature. The burner for the griddle is awesome, we use it alot for gravies, but cooking pancakes on eggs on the griddle is a mess and the griddle doesn't clean easily. Maybe its because i don't know how to properly use it.

I love my range especially since its finger proof and the air fryer is great. The touch panel is easy to handle. I baked my mac & cheese pie and it came out perfect.

Best high heat burner

I have been using my Profile range for over a year now and want to share my longer term experience. I love the variety of burner choices including one of the highest btu burners I found on the market for residential use. The controls are easy to use and beefy. It is a pleasure to cook on this range. I have used the steam clean and find it helps from having to do a big cleaning. The three racks in the oven are convenient. I have liked the air fry setting although I don’t think it works as well as a stand alone air fryer. There are a few things I don’t love. The top scratches easily. Since I use the griddle a lot I find you have to really be careful not to let it touch the top. The center burner (oval) is hard to clean. I have found using the lock out mode on the oven keeps it from trying to turn on when you even slightly brush against it. Of course this also means the touch pad is very responsive. As others have reported the fan is noisy. It is true convection which is great but it is especially loud when you use air fry. I miss a warming drawer but the storage is great.

Great features and range

This oven is so great. It’s no pre hear air fry and the stove top are my favorite features. The chef connect is great to connect the microwave and range. The Smart Hq app is also very helpful.
