Excellent range

We are very happy with this range. It replaces an older Profile model that served for many years. This one has the added benefit of a dual purpose center burner, which we have found to be very handy. The other dual purpose burner heats a big soup pot of boiling water in record time, or provides the lowest of simmering capabilities. The oven is also slightly larger than our older model. Overall we are delighted we chose this model.

Looks Great! Wish it Worked

First time we used the oven it mysteriously shut itself off during preheat. Turned it back on, and it did work. Now 2 weeks old, the oven turns itself off repeatedly during the preheat stage. It does heat up, as the temperature rises, but it's unusable. It looks great though, the stove top burners are fantastic.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My oven has never worked. It turns of after heating up to 225 or so. I had to call a repair man who has ordered parts. This is after waiting 4 months from purchase to delivery since the black stainless steel was back ordered.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Touch screen will not work

Just bought this beautiful stove a couple hours ago. Sadly, the lights turn on on the display panel, but the touch screen does not work — even when holding the control lock button for 3 seconds. GE’s customer service line is closed apparently even when calling within operating hours on Black Friday. Seems like we got a defected model. I was hoping that the 5 star reviews would outweigh the 1 stars. I should have known better. I am hoping that we can get a replacement and never have to worry about the touch screen issues again!

You should check to make sure that your oven is not set in Sabbath Mode. Or your circuit breaker could be blown/tripped.

Scratches easily

I like the stove and oven generally. However, the stainless cooktop is difficult to clean and the metal in front of the burners is all scratched after just a few weeks.
