Just got it, why ask me to review it so soon

Just installed less than 24 hours ago, so why am I being asked to rate it so soon?
Lack of any instruction manual a GIANT MINUS, hunt and pecking through LCD keypad so much fun! Had to unhide my WiFi SSID before would connect to internet. Cannot place flush against wall because of plug and gas locations. Too soon to recommend one way or the other.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

GE Profile Gas Range

I really like my new gas range. It has all the features I was hunting for to replace my 26 year old Viking range. My old range had a convection oven which was really nice to have but didn’t come with all the other features that are available on the newer ranges these days. I haven’t used the self-cleaning or steam clean yet; but I know I’ll love that feature. The overall cooktop space is good and so much easier to clean than my old range. No more having to pull out a drip pan for cleaning under the burners. I’m very happy with this purchase.

A great range

I’m glad I updated my range with this model. I replaced a 27 yr old same model. The only thing I would point out is that it takes longer to preheat. Otherwise so far I love it.

Bought in August of 2021 for our being built new house. House still isn't done but the kitchen is for the most part. I am the builder. This is simple to use and works great!

Purchased full suite. Price was affordable, Consumer Reports had it rated highly. After in person viewing and comparing it to the other options - purchased 4 pieces… 1 month in, zero complaints - actually learning about more uses and features as we go.

Not user friendly

I recently purchased the GE profile gas range. When I attempted to connect the Wi-Fi oven in order to use the air fryer and the convection functions, it was very complicated. I had my adult son who is a software programmer attempting to set it up, and I had another individual who is also tech savvy, neither of them, following the provided instructions, could figure get the oven connected to the home Wi-Fi. So today I’m going to call the dealer that I purchased the oven from and find out how to get somebody over here to set up the oven so I can use Air fryer and the convection functions. It shouldn’t be this complicated. And why should baking request WiFi anyway??
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

TO SET UP YOUR RANGE:

STEP 1:
DOWNLOAD THE SMARTHQ™ APP.

The SmartHQ app can be used on Apple or Android smart phones, and is available to download for free from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Once downloaded, open the SmartHQ app on your smart phone and Sign In or create a WiFi account.

STEP 2:
DETERMINE YOUR CONTROL TYPE.

Range Control - Applies to all Smart ranges

STEP 3
CONNECT YOUR APPLIANCE.

Open the SmartHQ app and sign in. On the Home screen, press the Plus sign (+) to view the "Add An Appliance" screen. Choose the range option that matches your control panel to get to the Welcome screen. Press OK.
