Oven will not heat

We had this range installed on March 27th. Did not try using this BRAND NEW, EXPENSIVE appliance until tonight, the 29th only to find the oven will not stay on during the pre heat stage. We spent a lot of money replacing all kitchen appliances with GE Profile, including this gas range. I just sent an email to support asking for a replacement NOT a repair. We purchased a brand new unit and expect a brand new FUNCTIONING and USABLE appliance. Having it repaired after no use at all is not a repair, we have been sold a defective appliance and want it replaced with a BRAND NEW range! Our profile dishwasher is not yet hooked up but I certainly hope we have better luck when we try to use that!
Very disappointed after spending our hard earned money on an appliances that was/is defective out of the box!
I would recommend this product depending how GE handles this situation. It is very nice in appearance and has great options. However, we have yet to be able to use it to cook with

This stove covers anything you would need to do on the range or in the oven GE left nothing uncovered right down to the meat thermometer.

We’ve had numerous problems with this oven. The latest being the light won’t shut off and now we are getting a Open Door error when I try to preheat the oven. The lights on the screen have been flashing off and on for a month now. The oven will shut off in the middle of baking for no reason. Junk. Don’t buy one!

Want to love this stove.... not worth the money

This stove does not function properly. The convection does not work, it does not heat the oven to temp. I can only cook on bake or roast. The burners have settings ranging from high heat to very low with numbered increments, but the flame is the same size from 1-3 and does not really change until you get up to 4 so the amount of control over the heat is not as precise as the stove lets on. I have had two of these stoves delivered in the past month and neither perform properly.

Beautiful - Doesn’t Bake!

I researched all brands of slide-in ranges for my new home. I wanted a higher end range and chose this GE Profile. The gas stovetop works great and provides different sizes of flame to fit larger or smaller pans. However, the oven does not work at all! It begins to preheat and gets up to 190 degrees and shuts off. The screen with the bake/convection options blinks and the clock goes back to blinking 12:00. I’ve never been so disappointed in an expensive appliance purchase in my life. I do not suggest purchasing this slide-in range. It’s beautiful, but does not work. I’m waiting for parts (Fan and computer screen) to be sent to me and the GE repairman to return in 2 weeks.

Oven fails after a few uses

After having this oven for 4 months I have had it fixed three times. The exhaust fan will fail on this unit (or at least that is what has failed multiple times for me). the construction is poor and any repair is overly complicated as there is far to many electronic components that will ensure one of them will fail. Get a simpler and more reliable oven if you can.

I can't say how much I love this range. I have had an electric range for years. We had propane put in at our house and this converted easily by the gas company. The cooktop is generous. I use big pans and lots of them. I love that all the burners have different BTUs so that I can use the right amount of heat for what I'm doing. I used the conventional oven once and it made a beautiful frittata. I'm looking forward to using the temperature probe and convection. My only wish is that it came with a better instruction manual or videos online. The videos are very short and not in depth enough in my opinion. I want to use this range to its fullest! Love it!
