Oven and burners at excellent

We were replacing a 14 year old unit so our story may be somewhat skewed. The oven preheat is amazing, out old unit took 25+ mins to get to 400 and this unit is about 15 minutes. Seems to bake/roast evenly but the convection cooking is lacking in this unit. Our old unit that is what we cooked with mostly and it way surpassed this unit in that aspect. The top burners we have been very happy with for the same reason as the oven, amount of heat is amazing. I am only giving it 4stars because we had to return our first unit due to faulty oven burner. Other than that 5stars.

Cooking is fine and cleaning is nice. However, be careful leaning against the knobs, slight turn and the gas is on, this is a hazard. When baking, when I initially open the door, there is an overpowering odor of gas which burns my eyes. I used the oven 6 times and it still occurs. I thought it was newly installed and would stop after 1 or 2 uses... I have to turn on the vent, open the windows and cover my face with a towel until the gas dissipates
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the wifi feature, oven heats up quickly, burners light up fast, the only downside occurred due to my error when measuring the height online. The tallest part of the oven is not at the back, it drops down a little. Not a problem with performance just in reworking our backsplash tile afterwards.

"The Beast"

Love all the features of this stove, I can turn the oven on on my way home from work. Helps cut warm time to get cooking as soon as I get home. I adore cooking and the BTU's on this stove are outrageous and makes cooking a breeze. The convection roast is a great feature. My family is reaping the bennefits of the stove!! Can't wait for the holiday to bake and make a feast!! Buy it you'll not regret it. Oh the durabilty of GE has been fantastic for me over the years.
