Submitting review now after installation & bookmarking to update periodically. App was kind of glitchy, it took me several tries of restarting/redownloading to register and connect. I love how it looks, only remark would be the back grate/plate that is supposed to help with gap between oven and wall. It just looks cheap & wouldve liked to maybe have an option of one inch vs. two inch because this one only covers about half of the space between.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nice stove but…

Love this range but for the life of me can’t get the WiFi features to connect. Therefore I have no airfry or proofing etc. disappointing! I’ll update this review if I ever get it to work!

Beautiful and Well Thought Out BUT.....

The range was installed just yesterday so I haven't really used it much. I will say it's a beautiful range that seems to be well thought out and with lots of features. HOWEVER, and the reason I'm only giving it 3 stars is that, it doesn't come with an owners manual. It does come with a Quick Start Guide that has 3 1/2 pages of warnings, 1 page for warranty information and only 3 pages of actual and very basic instructions. Yes, it is available online but what do people without a computer and printer use? A phone with a 4 inch screen? For what you pay for this model you'd think they would include a printed copy of the full instruction manual. If not for that it would probably get 5 stars, till then, I'm gonna stick with 3

Possible counter damage

The burners are located 5 1/2" from the side, the most common pan used is a 12" so the pan will overhang onto the counter. Most other major brands are 'around' 7", Kitchen Aid went to 8".

Looks Great - Bad Quality

Looks great and has many features. Quality of product was disappointing immediately. The range grill chipped, the fan made a loud, unusual sound, and small screws fell out of the appliance, all within the first week.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

NO CONVECTION WITHOUT ROUTER CONNECTION.

The range top is great, but I can't recommend the range for a couple of reasons: 1) The probe thermometer is terrible. It doesn't function when convection is on, which is pretty much any time I'm using the oven. Also, the oven temperature can't be reset without resetting the probe, which can only be doe by unplugging the probe from the (now very hot) oven wall port and re-inserting it. Idiotic.
2) This is huge: YOU CAN'T USE CONVECTION AT ALL UNLESS YOUR OVEN IS CONNECTED TO YOUR INTERNET. This is supremely idiotic. Easily one of the dumbest and worst product concepts I've ever encountered. For this reason alone I wouldn't have bought this range, had I known.

Wi-Fi control and venting

I would think that it should be the responsibility of GE to inform potential customers that they are NOT buying a complete functional range unless they download Wi-Fi, I for one would have kept shopping. Who in their right mind would want to turn on their oven remotely risking a potential fire while away from your kitchen? So, I'm into the next morning since downloading and I'm already getting 'upgrade' notices, a slave to my range like my PC. Then there is the venting problem that many are complaining about that I fixed on my own by adding a competitors backsplash. I would like GE to remove Wi-Fi control from my range without loosing convection & air fry and let me decide how I want to use my appliance or give me a 50% refund.

Very disappointed

Just purchased this product and several features are disabled without a connection to wifi and using their app. I think it is disgusting that after spending this much money on an appliance GE wants to use that appliance to harvest data to sell to data brokers and turn their customers into the product. Additionally, there is a fan for ventilation that is annoyingly noisy. I am seriously considering returning this thing.

This appliance requires a successful Wi-Fi connection and to be paired with our GE Appliances SmartHQ app, to provide convenience while cooking. Some of your traditional range features are available without an internet connection, as pairing your appliance with WiFi is totally optional. However, certain cooking modes such as Air Fry, Roast, Turkey Mode, etc. do require this connection.
