Great product, best value for money, inspiron quality. Dell sales experience poor, though ;-(

The 4500u processor is a beast. Is able to handle anything I throw at it. Screen is bright enough for indoor use. Audio/speaker quality acceptable, webcam mic are good. Keyboard is above average as well. My laptop is missing the bracket for the second ssd (some other users have reported the bracket being included). I have been a dell customer since 2002 - have bought too many laptops from Dell over the years! This is my first time the initial sales experience has been so sub-par. Otherwise happy customer. Hope support doesn't disappoint!

Good CPU shame about the RAM, keyboard and trackpad

CL22 ram! Ryzen loves good ram and CL22 is hamstringing the CPU. Keybaord is annoying, backlighting is not effective, I see what Dell have tried to achieve but silver keys are not good. Trackpad feels flimsy. A solid B grade. An extra few dollars from Dell good have nailed it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear you are disappointed in the image of this model. Below I have provided steps to adjust the resolution.
1. Right-click on Windows button.
2. Open Control Panel.
3. Click Adjust Screen Resolution under Appearance and Personalization
4. If you have more than one monitor connected to your computer, then select the monitor that you want to change the screen resolution of.
5. In the Resolution drop-down menu, select a screen resolution (ex: 1920 x 1080) that you want for the selected monitor.
It is recommended that you chose the Native Resolution suggested by Windows which is usually noted as (Recommended) for optimal resolution.
6. Click Apply.
7. You will have 15 seconds to select Keep Changes or Revert before it will automatically revert back to the previous settings.
If the selected screen resolution mode is optimal, click Keep Changes.
8. If you have more than one monitor connected to your computer and would like to change the screen resolution of another monitor, then repeat Steps 4 - 7.

Fairly light with ok battery life but screen doesn’t get very bright, small dark letters on grey keys can be hard to see in certain light conditions and turning backlight on makes it worse and it seems to forget it has wifi causing you to frequently reboot it and re enter password.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
