I love this item, but it no longer works due to a recent internet 5 g upgrade. will swann be upgrading as well?

This camera only connects to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi bands, not 5GHz ones. The reason is that 2.4GHz provides a longer range and extra bandwidth which is more suitable for a security camera. Most cameras in the market only offer 2.4GHz connections, though a small number offer both Wi-Fi bands as an option. Hope that helps. LV - Swann Team

These are great for in doors. They came with a 32gb. Micro SD card so they could be up and running as soon as they arrived. The App is easy to use too and it's the same App to use as the Swann DVR and NVR systems so all my cameras indoor and outdoor appear under one app. They also came with wall mounting brackets but I use them free standing.
