Camera dies very quickly unfortunately the solar panel saved the day

No Charging

They worked fine on the old cameras, Know that i bought the new xtreem cameras the panels won't charge them
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worked for an hour

I spent 2 hours fashioning a bracket and mounting it because I have the camera (and now panel) on a pole. Anyway, it worked for an hour and charged the camera from 37% to 47% and said 'Battery Charging' but now it isn't charging anymore. Full sun. Just says 'Battery' now and is down to 45%. I read above in a review that the poles might be reversed inside the unit but then why did it work for an hour?
Sigh.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
