I should have taken the advise of some of the reviews. I love it for having the option to use a pot or single serving. Hate it because it does splatter all over the counter when using the single serving. The pods open up and grounds are in the coffee and all in the machine and makes and incredible mess.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is my second one on one side the pot is good the single serve side spurts the water out if u are near it u could get burned it keeps dripping after the single serve is done when I got the second one I thought they must of improved it the concept is good needs to be improved

In shopping for a new coffee maker, this particular make/model had all the features that were most important to me. It also had additional features that weren't necessarily on my must-have list, but found very useful, such as charcoal filters, notification on when to clean the coffee maker, ability to use own coffee, as well as a tea bag vs a pod on the single serve side. If you use their measuring spoon included, it also makes a very good cup of coffee -- no guessing on how much coffee to use. This machine has performed as advertised and I am very pleased overall. It is an exceptional value.
