This is my second coffee maker as the single brew reservoir leaked on the first one. You replaced for no charge. Thanks. However I think this one also is leaking as I have had small amounts of water under it several times in the morning. Also I must tell you that opening the lid to replace grounds after brewing always results in water dripping down the back side. Poor design.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Cuisinart Coffee Center & Single Serve Brewer is a great dual-usage coffee maker. It's easy to use. However, I have found the reservoir for the single serve make leaks and therefore only keep water in it when I am actually going to use it.

Single serve doesn’t work with all pods. Some pods have a glossier covering and these aren’t pierced by the Cuisinart’s top needle. Therefore, hot water sputters all over and no coffee is brewed.

This would be perfect having the combination of a coffeemaker and single serve if it were not for a major design flaw. As I make my pot of coffee each am and pour the water into the poorly designed opening I always say "Stupid." You can not easily pour the water into the receptacle nor empty the carafe completely. How did this model ever go to production?

I love it. Have use the coffee maker for a month and everything is great. The timer, auto off, k-cups all perfect. If there is one small nuisance, it is cleaning out the coffee basket. It seems to hang up on a holder and gets old coffee all over the place if you're not really, really careful. This is a small annoyance
