I tried this because I wanted a combo product. The single cup brewing had a broad, spattering stream, from the beginning, right out of the box. My kitchen counter was messy every time I used it. The coffee pot side was cumbersome for adding water for brewing. I have used only Cuisinart coffee makers for about 20 years and wouldn't consider anything else, but really disappointed with this product. I returned it and purchased a competitor's duo-brew. Much better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is the second one I’ve had! My wife like the k cups when she’s in a hurry. I like the brewed coffee. It make great coffee and stays hot. You will not be disappointed!

It is convenient because it allows you to use a Keurig pot to make a single cup and has a 12 cup carafe to make a full pot or as little as 4 cups. The warmer appears to keep the coffee warm for over one hour. My only criticism is this is a replacement which we had to purchase because the last one was out of warranty and the last one had a leak that caused our granite countertop to have a rust stain. In spite of this we felt this was the best coffee pot for our needs and will look more carefully as time wears on to see if this one starts to leak as well. We love the taste of the coffee and the convenience.

Coffee maker works well, makes excellent coffee. Two little glitches, one is the carafe lid is not firmly attached. My husband always flips the lid off accidentally, so that is his complaint. The other is, the lid on the unit above the grounds and water. You have to make sure it is “tightly’ closed and snapped shut. If not, the springy thing that touches the carafe lid does not fully open and the brewed coffee overflows back into the reservoir and doesn’t go into the pot. I had to turn it upside down over the sink to wash the grounds out of the reservoir. I know that now, so will always check. That said, I would purchase the unit again, it is dependable and easy to set.
