The k pod system explodes the pods and makes total mess. I would highly discourage anyone from purchasing this

Great product but a couple design flaws. The rubber gaskets wear out relatively quickly, so the water basin for the k-cup side often starts to leak out all over the counter. This is the 3rd one I’ve bought for that reason.
The k-brewer also doesn’t drip consistently. Sometimes it drips out in a coherent stream. Other times is sprays and spits so once again you get water all over your counter.
When you lift the top for the coffee pot side, all the condensation from the previous pot leaks out the back and all over your counter.
Again, I’ve bought four of these total because they have a lot of positives and I like stuff to match between our two places - but some simple design fixes could make them much better.

We love our new Cuisinart Coffee maker with K cup availability! I was hesitant to purchase the unit after all the numerous negative reviews. I can honestly say whatever problems there were in the past with the machines, the manufacturer has solved the issues. Our machine makes delicious pot of coffee and if we just want a single K-Cup it makes that as well. No mess no fuss no leaks! Highly recommend this unit. And it looks great on our counter.

Excellent coffee maker. Only one minor complaint- it's a bit hard to fill the 12 cup reservoir because the cover gets in the way of the pour. I suggest moving it all the way to the left of the appliance, or allow the lid to be opened to a greater degree. Or make the reservoir removable, like the one for the single serve brewer.
