K-cups operation can be temperamental. I had issues with the cups exploding and getting grounds everywhere the first few times. I reached out to support and haven't had trouble since. It just should operate without such meticulous placement of the K-cups. Otherwise, it works well and is an attractive replacement for the two machines I did have. Carafe side works as well as my old Cuisinart.

So far so good-only one complaint or feature I wish it had. I wish the single serve would shut off automaticlly after a set time like the pot side does. After two different guests used the pot they wanted the info on the pot so they could each purchase (and they did!)

This is my 5th Cuisinart coffee maker my 2nd that also has single brew. They have made great improvements on this model. The pot on the others tended to leak out the sides if you poured too fast.
