I purchased this brand and style of coffee maker 2 years ago. Loved it although it did not last that long. Purchased another one and had to return due to leaking water. It took 3 returns to get a coffee maker that works decently. After 3 weeks this last coffee maker has started having problems. If I have to return this one, will never purchase another Cuisinart product!

First starters I want to say I love all my cuisinart products but this one has a design flaw that is maybe just happening to me, but worth mentioning. I'm not a huge fan of single serve brewers but I understand the appeal. When my coffeemaker needed an upgrade I went with this cuisinart bc their products are superior and maybe others in my household would appreciate the single serve feature. Although it brews a perfect 12 Cups and the automatic timers and programming are easy to set up, the single serve side worked for all of 1-2 weeks and stopped. It seems the seal around that end of the coffeemaker isn't great so the sensor does not determine you have coffee ready to brew. You literally, have to squeeze it together with your hand and hold it to get it started. Don't bother letting go either, because that just interrupts the brew. Needless to say, I don't use it. I haven't really researched possible solutions, but then again, why should I? Cuisinart products aren't cheap so it should not be up to the buyer to find a solution.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Have had for a month now. Enjoy the flexibility of full pot or single cup K-cup! Upon first time of filing with water, the handle to water reservoir on the K-cup side is broken (came detached on one side). Product design on full pot side is awkward in how you pour water in = can't pour full pot on Rt side (pot hits open lid) and must carefully pour on Lt side due to filter handle. Filter should be on Rt side, leaving larger opening for incoming water on Lt.

Bought this to replace my second Hamilton Beach FlexBrew model 49976. Only got 3 months use from the first and about 8 months from the warranty replacement unit so I was looking for a higher quality product with a better warranty this time around. Great features that are adjustable to suit your taste in strength and coffee temperature. Charcoal filters in both brewers is a nice touch. Three year warranty is one of the best in the industry. My only criticism is the single-serve base could use a removable "booster seat" to bring short mugs closer to dispensing nozzle. Some coffee splashes on machine and counter unless a tall/travel size cup is used.

This is the best coffee maker I’ve ever owned! To start, it looks great in the counter, taking up half the space of my two previous ones! It makes whatever hot beverage and size anyone requests! And easily! We got it the day before Thanksgiving and we had 30 people of all ages for dinner, and everyone used it and loved it! Best coffee ever! Children drank cocoa and hot apple cider, thrilled they could use it easily! No need to add water for each single serve beverage like the cheaper competitor! That was what made my choose this one! My only regret is not purchasing it sooner!!! Thank you!

I love my Cuisinart Coffee Maker with having both featured the only problem is that when you use the cup feature the water splashes flowing onto you counter and not in the cup suggest that you come up with a feature that can be attached to where the cup sits so that when using the cup feature this will allow the water fill the coffee cup and not flow onto the counter. The cup feature is workable but the cups out there a too heavy to hold and putting a dish towel to catch the water is not a good idea so adding a minor adjustment is called for and to send them out to customers already using the 2 in one Cuisinart. Thank you. Otherwise I would give this a 5 but because of this problem I gave it a 4
