I bought this coffee maker to replace my Keurig and was satisfied for the first day. I filled up the water tank that friday at 8pm and when I woke up at 6am on Saturday 1/4 was empty. The counter and floor were also full of water. I noticed it was leaking where the tank snaps into the machine. I thought maybe I just didnt snap it all the way so I refilled it and it worked fine the Sunday morning. On monday I wake up and notice that almost half the tank is empty and the counter and floor are all wet. Plus from the water sitting on my tile so long it is permanently discolored. I decided I no longer wanted to deal with it so I returned it and bought a Keurig.

I bought this product a few months ago. The first one I received leaked. In reading the reviews, I noticed that it was a design flaw, but some folks did have success with the product. I exchanged it for a new one and that one is fine as long as I only fill the reservoir under the max line.
I really love the design and function. During the work week I use the single serve and use the carafe side on the weekends. That is exactly what I was looking for and I’ve been very happy with my previous Cuisinart products. I will keep mine, but I can’t recommend the product until I know the leaking issue is resolved. It is very annoying to have to return a product like this.

I've used this coffee maker for 8 months now. I like being able to use the K cups for a quick single cup of coffee. However, the heating element is inconsistent and doesn't always warm the coffee satisfactorily. My old inexpensive coffee maker had a nice lid that would flip up on the carafe, this one has a snap on lid that is a bit of a pain to take off and put on every time you want to rinse it out. The automatic shutoff when you remove the carafe while it's brewing has come loose several times, so coffee keeps spilling when you remove the carafe. Sometimes you have to close the lid for he K cup brewing several times before the brewing light goes on.

Haven't used the carafe yet, but the pod side is a big improvement over my [admittedly ancient] old pod machine. Much quieter! Also easier to fill the water reservoir. It accommodates pods made of paper (i.e., no wasteful plastic cups). One issue: The 7-inch drop from the dispenser to the mug platform allows space for tall mugs, which is nice; however, the drop from the dispenser to the mug is so long that the coffee builds speed and splatters lightly over the sides of a regular-height mug onto the counter. Solution is to hold the mug closer to the dispenser. Small price to pay for a good cup of coffee from a machine that doesn't wake up the household.

Love it because it doesn't take up much counter space like my coffee maker and Keurig did. Easy to use and quiet compared to the Keurig. You can't go wrong with a Cuisinart!

When brewing coffee in this machine, it will probably be the best cup you'll ever have. The brewing is skillfully done, the machine doesn't hurry to "make" your coffee. I have been ever so impressed with the brewing function of this machine. The K-cup aspect of it, not so much. It's not that it's terrible, I just haven't found the niche in making the perfect K-cup. I've used numerous different brands and cup sizes, I just can't find the honey hole. I however, have not tried making a cup with my own coffee in my own pod. I think I will try that next. As an avid coffee drinker, this machine has made me content with my purchase!

We have purchased 2 of these within 2 years and both of them have the same issue. 9 out of 10 cups are fine, but every now and then the k cup explodes and coffee grounds go everywhere. The whole mechanism needs to be cleaned and it’s very frustrating and disappointing.

The single cup reservoir leaks. Called to report issue and was sent another reservoir. It arrived after 10 days and the unit still leaks. Called the issue in again and was told the only thing they would do is replace the unit. I would need to cut the cord, send a photo via email, and then wait for a replacement to be shipped out. They were unable to let me know how long it would take to get a new unit shipped out - I would have to "deal with not having coffee" (and that is a quote). I have no confidence a new unit will not leak. Horrible design and horrible service. I have been a loyal Cuisinart customer (the last two coffee makers were their brand), but they have lost me as a customer. Tired of being be inconvenienced for more than a month with issues. Bye Cuisinart!
