the single cup side works great, but the other side is a problem. If the water reservoir is full there is no way to make a smaller number of cups of coffee. If you want 4 cups you must only have 4 cups of water in the reservoir.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I honestly am crazy happy with this coffeemaker! I absolutely love having both options for a pod or a pot. I had been using a Keurig for 5 years and the taste of the from the cuisinart is so so much better! Only wish I had is that it was hotter when the pod side brews. I find that even with warming my coffee cup it still doesn't feel as hot as I like.

When I first used the single cup feature, coffee went everywhere except the cup! I contacted customer service by email and was given very helpful information. When inserting the cup you must push down on it to puncture a hole in the bottom of the k-cup. If you don’t do this then the cup bursts and water and grounds go everywhere.

I'm very pleased with my coffee center. I do wish the single serve side made coffee just a little hotter, but it's not enough to lose a star. It's easy to use and setup was a breeze. I'm not experiencing any of the leaking that others have mentioned.

Great coffee maker and easy to use! I gave it a 4 star for one reason- it’s a bit difficult to pour water into the reservoir in tight fit countertop space. It’s no big deal but it’d be great to have a wider opening for the pour. Other than that we love it and it makes good coffee!
