This coffee maker is close to ideal. I purchased this to replace a Kurig coffee maker that I was very happy with but I wanted to be able to make a pot as well as being able to make a single cup when I wanted. The Coffee Center fulfills both wishes very well with one annoying exception. The brewer is very flexible with many adjustments. The single cup brewer is where the Coffee Center fails to be perfect. Using the standard K-cup pods with a standard size coffee cup it splatters in the front and sides. Even with a tall cup under the brewer it still splatters. Thus there is a clean-up that needs to be done each time it is used. This is the only complaint that I have on the unit but it is a glaring fault with the unit. My old Kurig never had this problem and it is truly disappointing.

I read lots of reviews before I bought it. The esthetics are very pleasing. The only thing I can complain about is the temperature of the water on the single serve side. I feel it should be hotter. For now I’m cautiously optimistic about it.

When brewing a K-cup the liquid splashes not only the coffee carafe but the wall and countertop. In addition, the processing time for both coffee types is excessive compared to a Keurig.

Like the unit for its flexibility, but one opportunity --- Single serve brewer water flow sprays excess water wider than the coffee cup which leads to extra clean-up after each k-cup is brewed (unless you hold the cup up directly underneath the brewer during the brewing cycle)
