LOVED IT UNTIL THE FIRST ONE LEAKED. CUISNART WAS GREAT WITH A REPLACEMENT. ONLY THING I WOULD HAVE LIKED WAS AN EASIER WAY TO FILL THE FULL COFFEE POT SIZE. TENDS TO SPILL ALOT.

I had a 30 year old Krups coffee maker that died. I replaced it with the Cuisinart. I couldn’t believe how much better my coffee tasted in the new coffee maker. I love it.

I love the idea of having the carafe and k-cup all in one machine. It gave me more room on my counter top. I don’t like the way it drips when I open the door to add water. The spot to add the water is very small. When I make the one cup with the k-cup it splashes all over the counter.

I love this coffee pot, the look and performance are amazing; however, my K cup brewer quit working 7 months after purchase. It tears the cup instead of a simple puncture so coffee spews all over the inside. I registered my product but can't seem to find a link to make a claim or get a repair. This product is too expensive to just replace it so I will probably not re-purchase.

Has the potential of a great machine, but it’s not

Very happy with the style and design and love having the ability to brew a pot of coffee or just a single serving using the “k-cups”. Couple of design flaws, the one I don’t like is when brewing on the single serve side is that the coffee splatters terribly making a mess in the area of the coffee pot. I understand there might be some splattering and we also did with our kurig but no where near as much with the Cuisinart. The other design flaw that I don’t understand is the placement of the charcoal filter on the single serving side. I’m not a physicist, but I understand that water will always take the path of least resistance, the placement of the holder that holds the filter sits on top of plastic prongs that hold the holder in place has voids in the prongs and the holder sits about a half an inch above the water inlet, between the voids and elevation of the filter/holder it allows the water to be drawn in during the brewing process completely bypassing the charcoal filter. Unlike the full pot brewing side the filter holder sits in a recess directly on the water inlet so during the brewing process the water has to be drawn threw the filter making that a benefit, where as the filter on the single serving side is COMPLETELY worthless. THIS needs to be redesigned and fixed by Cuisinart. I like the two sides and flexibility of the coffee maker, it has the potential of being a great machine, but it’s not, for now it’s just an ok machine.
