I do love the dual purpose of this machine. I've used both single-cup brewing and 12-cup pots. It does appear that the water reservoir for the single-cup is leaking (not sealing properly?). The 12-cup pot also seems to brew stronger coffee that my previous coffeemaker (without pressing the "bold" button).

Love it...one small thing is that it's hard to fill the water in the coffee pot without spilling it! Maybe if you are left-handed it would be easier but the single-serve machine is kind of in the way for us righties!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought this coffeemaker to replace a carafe/single Hamilton Beach one in our new upgraded kitchen. Pros: looks sleek and has reusable filters on both sides, keeps the carafe warm for a good amount of time and beeps when it times out to let you know, water reservoir for single serve -- i don't do K-cups but appreciate the flexibility to use them here if needed. Cons: Filling the water for carafe brewing is awkward at best. Very tight space to pour the water into the machine and a bad angle. The single serve brewer splashes A LOT unless you have a very tall mug. It's so messy I have stopped using it altogether, even though having both single and carafe was the point of this purchase. My old Hamilton Beach 2-way coffeemaker did this much better so this Cuisinart was not an upgrade at all except for looks.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works well and I love the double feature. However, biggest design flaw is that the flap cover for the water reservoir drips condensation on the counter during refills. Also wish the reservoir held enough water for multiple brews like the single serve reservoir.

This is my 3rd cuisinart coffee pot. First one was replaced by the company before warranty was up due to water leaking from reservoir and the bottom rusted. There is an issue with the reservoir leaking (single cup side) and even though this happens I still love this pot. Just purchased my third one because my husband drinks a lot of coffee and loves the single serve side. Just wish they would correct this problem.

I purchased my first Cuisinart Coffee Center in Pittsburgh and when I got back home to Florida I really missed it, so I bought one for here. I love the versatility of making pots of coffee or cups using K-cups.
