Best of both worlds, full pot of Coffee and a Single cup when the pot is empty. I have found that 2 1/2 scoops of Yuban Medium Roast is the best coffee for this coffee brewer. I tried 6 different Folgers Beends and McCafe Medium. Other reviewers have stated the single brew side of this machine makes a mess, just use a tall mug no problem. Do not fill single serve with Tumeric Tea you will be sorry, It splattered everywhere!

Love the option to make a pot or a cup. The single serve option works great with ground cofee, a kcup or tea. The only improvement would be making pouring water into the pot side easier. It’s small and difficult to pour into. I would buy again.

Love this coffee maker! It's geared toward everyone - single serve for individual coffee and it also comes with a refillable pod so you don't have to necessarily buy k-cups! The hour adjustable heating plate is also nice to keep the coffee in the pot warmer longer if you want! The coffee pot pouring is perfect as well and doesn't cause spills. Overall I would recommend this coffee maker to anyone, it's worth the money!

This Might Be The Best Coffee Maker I’ve Owned

I love the way it works and I love the way it looks !
I grind my beans fresh every morning and the coffee comes out fantastic!
My friend likes things quick and easy so she uses the single serve side . In fact, she loves it so much she bought three boxes of the single serve pods.
It comes with two charcoal filters, one for each side. However, I don’t use it on the coffee side. We have pretty good water where I live and I found that the charcoal filter takes a lot of the flavor out of my coffee. But it’s a personal preference and you should try it both ways to see which way you prefer.

Also, I grind my coffee beans to a fine powder and I find that a number 2 filter inside the gold filter keeps grounds from getting into the coffee pot. And it makes for easy cleanup.
You should also note that when you insert a pod into the single serve side, press it down till you hear the needle pop the bottom. Then close the lid and press brew. This will keep the pod from exploding and making a mess, which rarely happens.
You will enjoy this coffee combo!

Originally when purchased thought it was great and gave 5 stars lives the size and the 2 in one of drip and k cup. After living with this for a few months would not recommend purchasing. Kcup works when it wants even if using the same brand of kcup. The supplied kcup you fill with own grounds has never worked. The drip coffee maker at times dumps grounds into pot. Even though making the coffee the same way daily and clean after every use it does this every so often. Could understand if did this every time then would except operator error. I really wanted to like this machine due to the size but cusinart needs to do something to improve this before I would ever consider buying a coffee maker from them again, which is sad as I did like their products.

I recently purchased this magnificent coffee maker and it makes an absolutely delicious cup of coffee.. whether or not your making a complete pot or single serve the brew tastes equally as good. I will admit it’s a little bit cumbersome on my kitchen counter, but I feel like it’s worth. The coffeemaker is quiet and efficient. I’ve purchased lots of coffee makers over time and this one is absolutely my favorite! Well done Cuisinart well done!

The coffee maker side is good and makes an ok cup of coffee but the K-cup side sucks. The K-cup side spits and sputters leaving water on the counter and makes a weak cup of coffee.
