We were a bit reluctant to purchase this coffee maker after reading previous comments. We were interested in this coffee maker because of its dual capability. Previous comments said it would overflow and run all over the counter and also splash out of the cup when using the single serve side. So far the carafe side has performed well , especially for keeping the coffee hot. The single serve side will splash a small amount on the counter when using the 10 cup designation but not when using a smaller fill.
So far we are completely satisfied with this coffee maker and it’s dual capabilities.

It's really nice to have two appliances rolled into one. A pot of coffee for several people, and a quick single cup for that quiet moment. I also like the idea that it came with a pod in which you could use your own coffee and not a plastic container.

I love these coffeemakers. I swore I wasn't going to get a single cup drink maker any more since I had one years ago and while I liked it, I just figured I'd make a pot and drink it fresh and then reheat it. Well, when my Cuisinart 12 cup died a couple of weeks ago, I automatically wanted one like it. Best Buy had this one on the shelf. I could order it online, and pick it up at the store. The drawback was it includes a one-cup as well as the twelve pot. I pulled the trigger and I am glad I did. It is very handy to have a pot of tea or coffee and then one that's gone, I can make a cup whenever I'm in the mood. Highly recommend Cuisinart products

It’s a bit difficult to put the water in the back and the lid to the coffee pot doesn’t come off easily.

Overall pleased with the it, however when making a single cup the coffee does not come out in a nice stream and spits a sputters outside the cup to the counter or me which is frustrating.
