While it solves the problem of having a brewer and k-cup machine all in one, it definitely has issues. It does make good coffee. However, after brewing, the counter under the brewer is wet (which is one of the complaints when reading other reviews). The k-cup brewer spits and throws coffee spots on the counter. Compared to other Cuisinarts that we’ve owned, there seems to be more residual grinds that somehow escapes the filter. once you know its idiocyncracies its definitely manageable.

I have had this for about 3 weeks now and could not be happier. It works great and the idea of making a pot or a cup is great. I make a pot for in the morning when I wake up it is ready to drink. Then when I need a single cup, it's ready to go. One thing is when I make a single cup - it does splatter, but I have put a short jar about two inches tall and that has stoped the splattering - no more mess. Wish the company would raise up the tray insert. Other then that I am totally pleased and happy with my purchase.
