Its a beautiful coffee maker and i loved that i could do a single cup or a full 12 cup pot. I found you cannot empty the full 12 cup pot in the water reservoir because the lid is in the way and its such a small area to pour the water into if you miss water comes out and spills. The pot spills/drips coffee when you poor every cup. I returned the product.

finally, we broke down and bought an actual coffee maker/pod maker! we are very pleased with quality of machine as well as coffee. impoertant: this machine uses all keurig (ish) pods. many are restricted to ONLY keurig pods...expensive. all told, this is a terrific buy!

Love-Hate Relationship

Love that this coffeemaker allows me to brew a full pot if we have company, but on regular days, my husband and I can brew our own individual cups. The coffee always tastes terrific. Now the hate....the individual side splatters all over the place. I raised the platform with several coasters in hopes that bringing the mug closer to the spout would resolve this. It splatters so much that it manages to still get everywhere. I've tried holding my mug directly under the spout, only to get burned from the splatters. The next hate....the beeper that goes off when the "full pot" is done brewing. I wanted to have the coffee ready when my guests woke up, so I set the delayed brew feature (which only works if you leave the coffeepot ON all night-learned through trial and error). Well, the coffeepot woke them up with the very loud beeping sequence haha. The last hate only happened to us once so far (and hopefully will never again). Christmas morning, my husband had a kcup explode on him. What a mess and really hard to get all the grounds cleaned out of the pot (the coffeepot was only 2 weeks old at the time, so it wasn't dirty). Fix these issues and you have a real winner!!

I thought the coffee makers that would make 1 cup of coffee made so much sense for all those times you wanted just a cup, but didn't want to brew a pot to get it. Then there were counter space and storage issues; the lack of both in my kitchen. Deciding to purchase the Cuisinart 12 Cup Coffeemaker and Single-Serve Brewer was the perfect solution. It has a very attractive appearance, and coffee, whether one cup or 12, simply tastes great.
