I bought this to replace a Keurig, as hated the cost of the pods. Love this coffee maker. The option to get hot water, or make a single cup or a full pot. The programmable timer, hot coffee when I get up... GREAT!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Years ago we purchased our first Cusinart coffee maker. It became our favorite because of its ease of use, operation and flexibility, including the gold coffee filter replacing the nuisance of paper filters, and the laborious cleaning of a coffee press. The durability of Cuisinart is great with a replacement necessary after several years.
We ran across the Keurig type one cup coffee maker while on a trip. The ability for each of us to have our choice of coffees was very tantalizing, but with our small kitchen, another appliance was not an option, and we still drink a pot of coffee over a few days.
I began to wonder if any company had figured a way to combine both types of coffee makers. I then saw a commercial for the Hamilton Beach Duo which had done just that. I looked into their model, but saw it still used the paper filters and some reviews felt it was complex in its use and cleaning.
With a bit of research I found Cuisinart had made one. (You folks need to do more advertising for this model). It answered all our wishes, plus it had a small footprint by design.
We have been delighted. I bought it as a Christmas gift for my wife and me. It was so similar in size, our family was giggling because she walked past it several times, and never noticed it. We have been using it every day, and it has functioned flawlessly. Because the controls are very similar to our old Cuisinart, the familiarity is very comforting, and it is indeed, the best of both worlds.
We would highly recommend this quality product.

The coffee brew system is ok, I like the convenience of being able to brew a full pot of coffee or the single cup on the K-cup side, what I really disappoint in is that the single cup side doesn't heat very good as opposed to the full pot side make a very hot pot of coffee. If not for this I would have rated it 5 stars.

We wanted a coffee maker that could also do a cup at a time. Not a lot of choices out there. The removeable water resovior for the single cup side is great, the one for a full pot not so great. The lid is hinged at the back and that is where you pour the water in. Every time we fill the 12 cup side we either have water left in the pot or we spill water all over. Makes good coffee
