Just makes OK coffee, from both the brew pot and the single serve k-cup. I had 2 separate machines but wanted to consolidate and free up counter space. Read mostly positive reviews on this unit, and hoped this was the one I’ve been searching for. K-cup side doesn’t taste as good as my old Kuerig machine used to make. Biggest complaint is the pot spills or dribbles almost every time I pour; either water to fill reservoir or pouring brewed coffee. Very frustrating! Expected more from Cuisinart.

I’ll give this combo coffee pot a 2 for now. We’ve only had it a little more than one month and experiencing issues, sometimes. When we brew a pot, about 1/3 of the time, we end up with splattered coffee grounds all over the inside of the lid and inside the pot. Design malfunction. There too many holes in the lid where water trickles out and it splashes terribly. That’s if we use the reusable filter that comes with the machine. I have also used 8-12 cup paper filters and they are no good either. So much water comes out of the lid, it causes the paper filter to fold in on itself, which causes a huge mess and grounds inside the pot. It’s frustrating, not to mention the coffee we waste.
Now onto the single-cup brew option. For some reason, it will occasionally blow a big hole (I say “big” relative to the tiny puncture it SHOULD make) in the k-cup and makes a sloppy mess. Grounds everywhere, coffee spilled outside and inside of the machine, and it’s not the easiest thing the clean. We have wasted several k-cups. No rhyme or reason when it happens. I will continue my trial until my k-cups are gone or I run out of paper filters. But if the issues continue, I will be returning and shopping for a different brand combo pot.

Good product. We did have a very difficult time getting the plastic taste out of the kcup side. We washed with soap and water, used a vinegar rinse and finally after weeks, it went away. This was our second one like this and we like its performance. There was no problem with a plastic taste with the first one.

First off, I am a huge fan of Cuisinart coffee makers and have been purchasing them for years, and as a stand-alone coffee maker, excellent product for cost. However, the single serve brew needs some work. No matter what type of pod I use, it drips all over the place or I have grinds in my coffee (even ensuring the arrows are in the correct position). The part where you place the coffee is also very hard to clean on the single serve side.

I got three cups of coffee using the coffee pod side, then it quit working. I unplugged it, cleaned according to instructions, but still would not work. I gave it one star because the three cups that I did have were good coffee.
