I really like the small profile of this machine and not having to have 2 seperate coffee makers. That is what drew me to it. As others have noted there is sometimes some spray from the single serve side. It is not always so I'm not sure why it does that. I simply put a decorative kitchen towel underneath to catch drips. I also have to fill the small reservoir more frequently but...… Hoping that this has some staying power. I have had Cuisinart coffee makers before and they have stood the test of time. I am gentle with this one as I am afraid to break it .

A couple of years back we jettisoned the carafe style coffee maker as all our kids were gone and the K-Cup seemed most appropriate for just the wife and myself. But with the Christmas holiday just two days away, and all our kids home for the first time in years, my wife asked if we should purchase a regular coffee maker. She mentioned there were units that combined the K-Cup and the carafe.
Literally at that moment, over her shoulder a commercial for the Cuisinart unit came on the TV. It was a weirdly cosmic moment that sort of demanded that we make the purchase.
We jumped into the car and headed off to Bed Bath & Beyond, made the purchase and have loved it ever since.
The unit is a beautiful addition to our kitchen and is attractive, sleek and modern. Both the carafe side and the K-Cup side work efficiently and the taste is very good. The reservoir on the K-Cup side takes some getting used to (taking it out to fill and re-seating it takes a little practice).
My only real complaint is the height of the K-Cup side (because of symmetry with the carafe side) is taller than must Keurigs. That means it dispenses coffee from the same height as the carafe side. Coffee mugs aren't as tall as the carafe so the coffee has to drip further which creates a little bit of a splash zone. Just know that with almost every cup you brew, there will be some splash on the side of the mug and on the counter. (A minor inconvenience, but know it going in.)
Would still make the purchase for sure.

Very nice coffee maker. Convenient to have both the carafe and the single serve in one unit that doesn't take up a whole lot of counter space! Only complaint is that the 12 cup water resevoir is difficult to fill using the coffee carafe. I usually use a large measuring cup to fill more easily.

12 cup coffee pot works as well as expected, I've been using coffee makers for over 40 yrs, this one has very convenient controls and makes excellent coffee. The single cup, uses Kuerig type pods, you can choose 3 different cup size amounts to brew coffee, cocoa and tea. I like decaffeinated tea in the evening so I put the contents of 1 or 2 teabags into the provided bronze filter and enjoy my tea. I also just run it without any ingredients and just use the hot water for bullion. The only caveat that I have is, if you are using a small cup there will be some splashing as the hot water sputters as it nears the end of the fill cycle. I just use a large tall cup and problem solved. All in all, I'm very satisfied and can honestly recommend this unit to everyone in the market for this type of brewer.

Drip brewer is solid. 12 cup pot is standard for Cuisinart. I usually make 4 cups at a time; brew time is quick.

I am very happy with this purchase. It gives flexibility to make a pot when company is coming or an individual cup of coffee with the single pod brew option. It works with all kcup pods. I wanted something to last because I've gone through several Keurig brewers.
