This unit replaced our Cuisinart 12 cup brewer. This one has all the same features as our old unit plus the added benefit of single serve. It saves the space taken up by our Keurig and handles the same tasks in one unit. The only criticism is that the single serve operation tends to "spit" when using a traditional size coffee or tea cup; so just be aware that the hot water could hit your hand if held close. The coffee maker actually has more control features than our old Cuisinart (strength) and is easier to keep clean inside. I usually dry the interior and wash the basket to insure no nastiness grows.

I've been using my Cuisinart Coffee Center about a month and have had no issues with it so far. I've used all the features. Single cup brew, pot brew and timed start pot brew. I think some people don't follow the instruction booklet and just use it as they have other brewers and have had problems. I've used both K-Cups and my own loose coffee in the single cup side. Works fine. I'm a convert from Keurig because their makers just do not hold up for the price. So time will tell how long this lasts.
