This Cuisinart replaces another Cuisinart (14-cup) I have happily used for four years .... that one is now being used in another household. I wanted this because of the added single-cup feature and am enjoying that. My one complaint is that the way this coffee maker is designed, it is awkward to pour water into the reservoir for the large pot. The lid is in the way on the top and the single-cup side is in the way on the right. My solution is to use a funnel.

My husband drinks a lot of coffee so the 12 cup pot works great for him, and he likes it strong. I am more of an occasional coffee drinker so I appreciate the single cup option. Also great when the kids want a quick hot chocolate or hot cider. I do wish the 12 cup pot had a thermal carafe instead of glass

I got this coffeemaker for me and
My husband for Christmas and when one of my family members saw it ordered one for his daughter for Christmas also. It makes the best coffee in the carafe or singles. My husband has invented a holder for the coffee filter He put the coffee filter and coffee grind holder in a used large yogurt container which fits perfectly and fills it with coffee grinds so it doesn’t spill over. He likes to fill it outside the coffee maker and this works perfect. I hope to get many years of use out of this appliance. Thank you for this great invention.
