I had a Keurig but didn’t use it because I wanted to make more than just 1 cup so I bought my Cuisinart and I love it. It has the best of both worlds, you can make a single cup with the K-cups or you can make a whole pot, this is perfect. You get to use which ever kind of coffee/drink mixes you like.

This coffee maker does a great job of brewing either a pot of coffee or the single use k-cups. Overall, we are very happy with our purchase. The one drawback, that others have mentioned, is filling the reservoir for brewing a pot of coffee. It is difficult to pour the entire carafe of water without spilling into the filter section. I suggest using either a funnel or a long spouted container, like used for watering plants. I’m surprised that cuisinart has not figured this out. It would be great if they could have the carafe side reservoir be removable for fill like the k-cup side reservoir.

I have had this unit for about one month. I am very happy with the 12cup side, and also with the single serve when I use a pod. When I use the single serve with your own ground coffee I find that there is coffee residue in the bottom of my coffee cup. I can still drink the coffee but usually throw out the last inch of coffee.

We bought this because I like k-cups and my husband likes brewed coffee, overall it is a good machine but the water goes fat on the k-cup side and it takes awhile to heat up before it makes the coffee. I liked the one I had before this much better
