Cuisinart is the only coffee maker I will use. Perfect temp all the time. I have tried other brands looking for these features before Cuisinart came out with the dual feature, boy was I disappointed. I got my Cuisinart and am getting the coffee I am used to.

Needs the ability to request additional water to be processed to fill cup as desired. That, at this time, is sorely lacking.
Need to improve access points to load water for the pot of coffee. I read the reviews prior to purchasing, and the folks that noted the short-comings were correct in their assessment there.
Other than that we love the design concept, as well as the coffee when using either function

On face value, this coffee machine looks as though it is great. K-cup and drip coffee in one machine. Great idea. Unfortunately, the execution by Cuisinart is horrendous. I purchased this from a big box store, took it home, unwrapped it and filled it with water. It leaked from somewhere underneath straight away. I repacked it and took it back to the store and exchanged for another one. The second one started out ok. There were, however, some issues straight away. The first is that the stream of coffee from the K-cup side does not stream straight down in a continuous flow. It spurts and spatters all over the place. Plus, the stream is not aimed at the center of the drip pan, but towards the front of the machine, which means you have to put your mug over the edge of the drip pan. The second is that this machine also started to leak from somewhere underneath within a week of use. The third, is that a K-cup pod literally exploded within the K-cup section, scattering coffee grounds all over the machine, and all over my kitchen. The fourth, is that the drip coffee side makes horrible tasting coffee. Weak, thin, sour, and acidic coffee. It achieves this by having a flow of water that is too fast, thus not allowing the coffee grounds to bloom and release the carbon dioxide. Truly disgusting coffee. I took this one back as well and replaced it with a Keurig K-Elite and a Bodum Pour Over Coffee Maker.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
