It's hit and miss with this machine. Sometimes it works perfectly, and then you get a half cup of coffee or it sprays water somehow inside and leaks out from around the k cup holder and makes a mess of grounds and water. This was a common claim I've read from other reviews. I should've heeded these warnings.

I bought this maker for its ability to make a pot of coffee/tea or a cup. I was hoping the cup side would hold my Contigo cup, but it is to tall. I immediately noticed it is more difficult to pour water into the Cuisinart then other coffee makers. Also, it is difficult to tell if the Cuisinart is still on, keeping coffee/tea hot.

We purchased this particular coffee maker because my husband was looking for a carafe, while I prefer single serve. The maker was very unpredictable when using single serve, we had many cups blow up while brewing, it also would often brew about an ounce and stop, not to mention not working at all. The carafe side was set to brew at it's warmest but it was like warm at best. We returned the maker and went back to a Keurig.

Single Serve feature with water tank is perfect. The single serve brewer needs to brew hotter (when cream is added to coffee, it is no longer hot).

Hello,
I wanted to share how disappointed I am with this purchase. I was so excited to finally have this coffee maker only to discover it is poorly designed. When you make a cup of coffee using the K-cups, coffee splatters all over my counter. When I want just a cup of hot water, the water really splatters all over the counter. This never happened with my Keurig.
In addition, one of the biggest features was having the ability to make a full pot of coffee. This is VERY messy. When you lift the lid, the water formed from the steam drips all over the back of coffee maker onto the counter. When we used an older coffee maker, this did not happen.

It’s perfect except for 1 small problem. The single serve side splashes coffee as it is being dispensed. In order to fix that you have to lift your coffee cup up about 2 inches to keep coffee from splashing out of your cup as it brews. Otherwise it’s a wonderful item. That’s the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stsrs
