I purchased this so I'd have more power available for tools and other items I use when away from the grind. I already have a Yeti 500X for camping and it's great. Now I have 2 power sources and the solar capacity to charge them whenever I want here in sunny Colorado.
My spouse has recently started to wear a cpap at night, so thought this would also be great addition to our boondocking experience when camping in the RV. Not only can we use the Yeti 1500X during the day, but works perfectly for my spouses cpap sleeping at night. This can power the cpap for more then 3 days with no problem. This was a great solution !
I have spent the last three weeks on the road using my 1500X. When I didn’t have my small 12v cooler plugged into the van I used the 1500 at night. Lost 50% of charge during the night. But when I used a small 500W heater only, I drained the battery to zero in less than 8 hours. Still looking to test other items I use when I can get back on the road. Also the power supply cord tends to become loose when charging and traveling down the road. This could become a problem when I go into the back country. Have not had the chance yet to use my solar panel to see how fast or slow the charging will go. I may need to invest in a second panel.
I purchased the 1500X to add to my power arsenal for camping and power outages. I am always impressed with the wifi capabilities, the power it provides, and ease of use. This does it all! Plus, fellow campers get a little jealous over our camping setup due to the amenities powered by our Goal Zero lineup.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The open box 1500x generator works well enough for me.
I've purchased the 500 and 1500 of the power stations, and here's some pro's / con's to help with your decision: Before picking the battery station, take a careful look at the voltage of what you want it to run. The battery stations will show error sign (and risk ruining) if you put too much load on it. The 1500 can handle high output appliances like hot plates, kettles, microwave, etc, as listed. I don't think the duration is as long as the larger battery stations, so I'd say it's perfect for a night - couple of night getaway using those high output appliances. And a good alternative to needing a propane stove. The only downside vs the 500 is the weight (45 lbs), so it's kind of a lot to lug around if using for tent camping. The 500 is limited on voltage, and so won't work on hot plates or really any heating devices. It works great for hooking up a laptop / tablets / phones / lanterns to charge while away from the grid. It is very light (15 lbs I think), so very easy to move around and fit on a picnic bench for camping and such.
Also, keep in mind the PRICING, which can vary based on sales. In December 2024, I got this thing about 30% off (probably the lowest all year), but I'd say in the 10-20% off range, it's still a good value for the quality of station.
Portable, easy to use, very convenient for camping

I recently went tent camping in the winter cold and enjoyed a toasty little heating pad around my body the entire night thanks to this battery bank! The panels are not too heavy or clunky either and I am glad they come with their own carrying case.
