Good pan but requires some tips and tricks to use.

The quality of the pan is good. I like the wooden tray that it fits into. When seasoning the pan it is important that when using either the paper towels or the lint free cloth that you use it in a dabbing/blotting fashion with the oil instead of a rubbing fashion as the pan is very rough and it tears fibers out of the paper or cloth.
Another issue is that it takes some practice to use the handles to manipulate the hot pan when it's in the pizza oven. You can't put the handles directly into the slots without burning your fingers until you use the handle in an upside down configuration to pull the pan slightly out of the pizza oven before inserting the two handles into the slots to pick it up.

Been taking super good care of my grizzled plate but it's starting to rust already. I reseason it and keep it in a dry place after every use.

Want to expand your available options for food cooked in your Ooni oven? This is a great addition! Brussels sprouts charred to perfection in less than 10 minutes. Delicious wood fired rib eyes or blackened chicken in ~2 minutes per side! And it's pure genius that the device has two different cooking sides...a griddle on one side and a grill on the other. I would have rated this 5 stars except for the handle set-up. Due to the weight of the device, Ooni designed it with two handles. Thus to manipulate the item in the oven, you must remove the Grizzler with two hands and place it on a heat-safe surface. If it were one handle you could pull the Grizzler to the edge of the oven to rotate or flip the food. Still, I love it!

Makes great food, design could be better

Makes amazing steaks and veggies! Taste is so great and cooks easily. The handles are a little awkward to hold it and move into/out of oven because it's cast iron so it's heavy. We burnt the wooden plate it rests on taking it out of the oven the first time. Also got a small burn on our picnic table. No big issues but beware - it's super hot! Wish the handles were slightly longer or there was easier way to maneuver them.

Before I bought this, I started using a cast iron skillet in my ooni. After receiving this product l, I like my cast iron better. I have more control over the skillet and not a fan of the handles on this device.

Ten pounds of screaming hot cast iron is very dangerous. Don't leave it in the oven to cool down.
It caused my stone to crack.
I'd buy the smaller one.
