At first I wondered why the cover wasn't also a carry case like with the one for the smaller ooni koda 12 but the answer is simple, the ooni koda 16 is too heavy for that kind of arrangement. I'm happy to keep my oven protected and in pristine condition for my next cook.

Best pizza around

Couldn't be happier with the Ooni Karu 16. I am a sourdough baker and this oven turns out amazing naturally leavened pizza bases that bake extremely quickly. It is very easy to set up and use - getting the paddle and turning tools is a must. We bought the gas attachment for the convenience factor, but with the oven getting up to temp within 15 mins on wood and charcoal, I'm not sure we'll need it! (Handy for Total Fire Ban days though). Looking forward to trying some other types of cooking in it, but living rurally, I'd say we now make the best Neapolitan pizza around ;)
