Incredible design

I have all the expert creator cars and I love them all, but this one is the best of the lot. The large size, overall design, special features, and iconic subject matter make this car a fantastic build. The finished product is a showpiece in any room of your house. This is one car you have to get!!! Next I would like to see LEGO expert creator design a classic Porsche or pickup truck.

This Aston Martin DB5 Vantage car was awesome!! Loved the opening doors, Ejector seat, and all of the exterior details. I would recommend this to anyone who likes building big lego sets.

Time & Money Well Spent
on June 17, 2021

The Aston Martin is wonderfully designed with so many features! While building this set I enjoyed the anticipation of wondering how each feature came together as a whole vehicle. Love the combination of technic and system pieces synergies. The weight of vehicle, along with authentic look, seem to add to value whereas you feel you definitely have a collectible worthy of showcasing!

007 Time to Build
on April 17, 2021

This built was fun and interesting, how all the technic parts come into play. Only thing that I didn't like was that my set was missing the piece that make up the bullet shield. Other then that I love all the features of the vehicle and I have to stop many times to appreciate how creative the build was.

A surprise to be sure...

I mostly just buy Star Wars sets. I really only bought this one because I’ve run out of Star Wars sets to buy (or can’t find certain ones). I’ve got to say, I’m glad I bought it. This is one of the most detailed sets I’ve come across. It’s got a lot of complicated moving parts, pieces set in unorthodox ways, and at odd angles. Far from a generic build.
The cost of the set is somewhat prohibitive, but well worth it. There have been a few sets that I’ve felt weren’t a good value for the cost, but this isn’t one of them. There were a lot of details that some people might consider unnecessary, and the set would be cheaper without them. But those details are what make a set worth spending hundreds on, in my opinion.
Those small details, complicated moving parts, and unusual building methods have made this an impressive set. I can’t imagine how much work went into designing it. The engineer deserves a raise. I’d love to see them design more sets of this complexity.

A very fun car to build and display
on April 27, 2021

I am a huge fan of James Bond. Building this model I am blown away by how much features are packed in a small model. It has the most complex building techniques I have ever seen. I was shocked how the injector seat mechanism works so was the front machine guns. What it lacks is appearance it’s too blocky and boxy I wish it has a little more smooth surface.

Faithful recreation

This thing replicates not only the appearance of the Aston Martin, but also all the gimmicks such as the revolving license plates, the bulletproof shield, tyre scythes, machine gun headlights, and even the ejector seat! The only downside I can see in this kit is the inability to swivel the front wheels to simulate steering but this is because of the mechanism for the machine guns taking up the space that would otherwise have been used for the steering mechanism. I had a lot of fun throughout the entire building process and everything looks absolutely showcase-worthy!

"You'll be using this Aston Martin DB5 ..."

This is a very nice display set.
Much to my chagrin, I found building this set's wonderful action features to be quite a chore.
In my opinion, the car looks as good as one should expect, when dealing with Lego's difficulty in getting curved car bodies right.
The action features are fun to play with, though the roof of the car is delicate, and I find the engine never wants to stay in place, and so rattles under the hood (bonnet) a bit.
There is no functional steering, due to the headlight - machine gun feature.
The car should fit 4.5 - 5 inch tall figures, if you have any.
