I love the Bond franchise. I have watched every single movie, every year for as long as I can remember, every Thanksgiving holiday. The build itself uses some very good connecting techniques to get the desired look. Once it is done, it looks great! But that's about it. As many others have mentioned, many of the gadgets/functions are problematic. The gun-lights are about 20% reliable (sticky turns). It took almost 10 minutes alone to get the gun-lights spaced to get that 20% function. When using the ejector seat, there is a high chance it either wont completely fire, or cause a piece to fall off the car. They REALLY should have included a 007 figure with the high price tag. The front wheels do not turn, so playability seems low. Will make a great accessory talking piece though. Would recommend, maybe at a lower price, unless you are a die-hard 007 fan.

007's AML DB5

My 1st LEGO Creator ever and loved putting it together after recovering from a surgery! Had a little difficulty, but good things take time! I was worried about the small left over pieces and thought, I messed up - but after thorough inspection after finishing part 1 - everything was in place! Better having left over, than missing parts! Thank you LEGO for a great product and helping me recover from my illness!!!

melted parts?

I was so excited to get this set for my birthday. However, when i opened the bag, i found 3 different pieces bent in half. It looked like they melted while they were at the factory. Very disappointing. We did order the pieces online, but we have done that before and they didn't drive for a month and a half. I would not recommend this set until they can assure no pieces are melted/missing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great build

The creator expert cars are probably my favorite products to build because of how complex they are. The DB5 is great because of the complexity of the build and how many of the working functions it has from the James Bond films. Awesome design, very cool to have, love this set.

Great Build, miscolored pieces

This set is a great build, but you have to get it perfect for everything to work right. That's why I rate it "very challenging." If anything is misaligned, some of the neat and very clever little thingamajigs LEGO has built into this car will not function right (I read a lot of negative reviews where they had that problem, and I'm inclined to believe it was the builder's fault). But mine is functionally perfect!
My major issue is with the light bluish gray pieces, and there are a lot of them obviously. Certain pieces were extremely light colored, almost white, and they stick out like a sore thumb on the exterior of the vehicle. It's like the dye machine was running low on black ink when they were molding these suckers. Most pieces are fine. LEGO even included a separate bag of 11 1x1 light bluish gray bricks (that are the proper tint) as though they were aware of the color problem, but there are quite a few other uncommon pieces that also share this discoloration. I've never purchased a LEGO product that provided extra large pieces in their own bag; I have to think that the product I purchased was partially defective and they added those in right before they boxed it up to make up for it.
It's very odd, some of these gray pieces are so light they could be considered an entirely new LEGO color. Maybe the set will be worth more as a result.
In any case, great build, impressive design, looks good nonetheless!

This set is amazing!!!!! The set looks good on the out side, and then when you get into the inside, there are ejecting seats! This build was VERY fun. When you see how all these functions work, it blows your mind. The only problem I have about this set is it could be a little less expensive.

Not a Great Experience

The pieces are brilliant. The LEGO itself looks excellent. But, the building experience left too much to be desired. You'll never feel any real sense of accomplishment as you progress through each step. The set really is one of the least rewarding sets I've built. You only feel any sense of joy upon completion. The instruction manual, while elegant and unique, isn't really very good. Just a sub par LEGO, that I very deeply wanted to love.

What, no oil slick?

This was my second Creator build - finished the Fiat 500 a few days ago - thanks to the corona lockdown (you can only read so many books). This set came together with only one minor hitch (later). All of the Q accessories work as advertised, and there were no missing pieces - I actually have a bunch left over (no, I didn't miss any steps).
The hitch: the bullet-proof shield lifting mechanism collides with another part and sticks. A little manual help is required to lift it all the way and also to reseat it. I've tried to adjust things, but no luck.
I would recommend this to a friend!
